No — projects, polls and profiles are public. You need an account to post, vote, comment, apply to a project or save posts.

Use Sign Up with your email and a password, or continue with Google where it is offered. Pick a username between 3 and 24 characters (letters, numbers, dots, dashes and underscores). It becomes your profile address: /user/your-name.

Check your spam folder first, then use Resend email on the verification page. If the address was mistyped you can sign up again with the correct one.

Open Forgot password on the sign-in page. We email you a link that is valid for a short time; follow it to choose a new password.

Click Create → Project. Give it a title, a description (Markdown is supported: bold, italic, lists, links), the roles you are looking for, the compensation model and tags. The first tag should be the engine (Unity, Godot, Unreal…). You can publish right away or save a draft and finish later from Profile → Drafts.

Paid (you pay a fee or a rate), Revenue share (a percentage of what the game earns) and Volunteer (no payment). Say which one applies and, if relevant, the amount or share — people decide whether to apply based on it, so keep it honest.

Yes. Upload images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF, up to 8 MB each — they are converted to WebP automatically) and paste a YouTube, Vimeo or direct video link.

Drafts can be edited from Profile → Drafts. Published projects can be marked completed or deleted from the project page (owner only). Deleting removes the post, its comments and applications permanently.

It moves the project to your completed list, closes new applications and keeps the page and the team credits online.

Open the project and click I want to join. Tell the owner about your experience, why you want to be part of it and, optionally, link your GGDB profile. The owner sees your application in the Team widget.

The button shows Application pending until the owner accepts or declines. Either way you get a notification. Accepted members appear on the project's team list.

As the owner, use Add member in the Team widget, search by name or username and send an invite. The person accepts it from their notifications.

Owners can remove members from the Team widget. If you want to leave a team, tell the owner in the project comments and they will remove you.

Click Create → Poll, write the question, add 2–6 options and choose how long it stays open (1 day to 2 weeks). Polls can allow one choice or several. Results are visible after you vote; the poll closes automatically at the deadline.

Go to Settings → Profile. Upload any common image format; it is cropped, compressed and converted to WebP automatically (avatars to 320×320, covers to 1600×500). Your original file is not stored.

Settings → Notifications lets you turn notifications on or off and choose which events reach you (comments, followers, invites) and whether you also want emails.

Settings → Connected accounts shows your sign-in methods. You can disconnect Google as long as you still have a password set.

Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This removes your profile, posts, comments, votes and applications permanently. There is no undo. Forum posts are the exception: they stay in their discussions under “Deleted member”, so threads other people took part in do not fall apart.

Every post and comment has a Report action. Pick a reason and add a note if it helps; the moderation team reviews reports and you will not be identified to the person reported.

Depending on severity: a warning, content removal, a temporary suspension or a permanent ban. See the community rules for what is and isn't allowed.

Devchaos never asks for payment to join a project. Do not send money or documents to anyone on the platform; report the account so we can look into it.
